I've been meaning to blog this card since I first made it but I keep forgetting! I made this as s ample for the Hochanda shows that featured the Infinity striplet however I made it at a demo day in Fife and completed the mats and layers at home.
I stared using the quilted technique that I showed on Hochanda a few weeks ago. I cut the front panel using the infinity striplet. I cut the backing panel extending the die to give 4 panels.
Next I embossed a piece of red and black using the die but not cutting it. I then cut the red and black into separate squares and slotted them alternately behind the die cuts.
I then stamped the sentiment and added a chrysanthemum die cut in red and white with a red centre with red sporing foliage.

Its that time of month again when I do my monthly workshop at Breedon Priory. I love this event as we get to try lots of different techniques!
Back to today I thought I would share this card as the colours just sing to me!
I stared by cutting the Rippled striplet 6 times across a piece of iris foundation card matching the pattern each time by rotating the die each cut. I backed this with wisteria foundation card. Next I cut the straight heart form the laced heart die into the background.
I then added a strip of coconut white fouantion card cut with the rippled striplet and backed with blue dusk. I added this over the hole left from the heart then added the heart die cut back on top with mounting cushion.
I cut the laced heart outline in white and added the fluttering heart die cut cut in wisteria over the top. Finally I made a wisteria chrysanthemum with a white centre and wispy fronds cut in iris and the chrysanthemum leaves cut in white.

A simple yet complex looking card made with just the Lucy die and the Atlantic ocean tag duo set. I love this use of plain card to focus attention on the sentiment.
I started by cutting the centre panel from the Lucy die in white and backed it with Aqua foundation card. I repeated this 4 times and added these to the front of a piece of sky blue foundation card.
Next I cut the outer die from the Lucy set again in coconut white and again backed this with aqua. I added this on top of the 4 squares slanted and tucked the messy bow into the middle.
I stamped the sentiment onto a pice of coconut white foundation card and cut it with one of the tag duo dies. I backed this with aqua and added another cut of this die behind this before placing this in the centre.
Finally I added some crystal hearts from my stash and a few layers of the white and aqua card.

I thought I would share another card made using the Atlantic ocean background as I love this die and made so many samples using it!
I stared this card by covering a sheet of double sided adhesive with silver moon gilding flakes. I then cut all the dies in the Atlantic ocean set into this separately. so I cut the first die, then cut the central die with the outline and the final die again with the outline.
Next I backed the first piece with Wisteria card ( doesn't it look brighter when teamed with white and silver) I then added the spring foliage die cut in white around all four sides of the central square and mounted this with foam in the centre. I cut the flowers from the Spring Foliage set in more of the gilding flakes which I shaped and added a crystal in the centre.
I backed the final die cut with coconut white and rotated this before foam mounting this in the centre. I added a frame made with the noble double pierced squares dies and set B in white and wisteria and traced the outline with crystal strips ( these come as a double but I like to cut them into single strips)
Finally a pearl and crystal embellishment with a messy bow made with ribbon form my stash ( Ive got to use more ribbon I collect far too much!)
I have updated the demo and workshop list at the right hand of the blog so if you want to see where I will be in March its all there! Also I am running some workshops at CE Towers in Kettering starting in May for more details see the Creative Expressions Facebook page.

A missed card form my recent shows last month on Hochanda using the Jessica die from the Frames and Tags collection from Sue Wilson.
Next I made up a white chrysanthemum by cutting all four dies twice. I added one set at the outer petals by shaping them and folding them out. I then curtailed a full set to the centre and added these in the centre to make a more realistic flower. I added more of the silver microbeads in the centre.

I thought today I would share a few more of the samples I made for my stamping shows last week. This first one is based on a technique form a friend pauline who sent me some backgrounds made with it. For this one I simply stamped the Horticultural background in perfect medium onto white gloss card, and left it to dry. I then added colour cloud blending ink over the whole piece using rose pink and frosted mink. Once the ink is polished off it leaves a perfect resist of the image in white.

It's Friday which means another new card made with Vintage dies and this week I've chosen the Belgian collection and just the Brussels die. This card is made with just one die and one embossing folder ( if we exclude the flower lol)
I started by cutting the detail die twice in a 6" x 8" piece of ivory foundation card. I backed this with velum and then periwinkle foundation card, this makes the colour softer and extends the shades available. I then cut the die in full in ivory and backed this with velum before foam mounting it over periwinkle and placed it in the centre.
For the smaller die in the set I cut this three times in periwinkle and cut the shape in velum and ivory. I added the velum over the top and added ivory behind, again this softens the blue from the periwinkle. I added these as shown adding the 2 side pieces under the main cut to look like a strip across the front.
I embossed a piece of velum using the A4 quilted flower embossing folder and spray glued this onto a piece of periwinkle before cutting to size and adding more mats and layers of the Ivory and Periwinkle.
Finally I added a hand made rose shaded with colour cloud blending ink and added this to a lace bow with thin stain ribbon and 3 hand made hat pins.

I thought after all the glitter it would be nice to see a simple stamped card! After the extremeley busy One Day Special on the glitter kiss ( I hope everyone who wanted it got it before it sold out!) I thought you wouldn't mind if I just post the pictures of this card which I made on air last week.

The One Day Special continues on Hochanda today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm & Final Call at 7pm with the fabulous Glitter Kiss from Cosmic Shimmer. Today's card again shows some of the techniques that can be achieved with the product.
I stared by adding the glitter kiss in Ice Blue to the daisy mask, I then added silver chrome glitter kiss so that the colours mixed. Next I stamped over the top using Sahara gold and my horticultural script stamps over the top. That's one of the wonderful things about Glitter kiss unlike other glitter mediums it is not raised at all meaning you can stamp directly over it and mix colours without having them contaminate.
I cut the piece out using the noble double pierced circles cutting the top of the flower to poke over the circle and matted it on a silver circle. I then added a background embossed with the Rambling rose 8x8" embossing folder with the raised are coated in the Ice Blue glitter kiss ( I never thought it would be possible to glitter just an raised surface!)
I added a spray of cape daisies which are perfect with the glitter kiss and added the leaves all coloured with the product. Finally I added a layer of black with the edge just kissed with the glitter!
Tune in today to see exactly why I think this product is so special and see lots of ways to use it!

I'm back on Hochanda this evening at 8pom with the launch of the Glitter Kiss one day special. I thought I would hare a few of the different projects I have made with this amazing product!
Monday, 17 April 2017
I'm back on Hochanda tomorrow night at 8pm with the launch of the Glitter Kiss One Day Special from Cosmic Shimmer. I love this product not just because it was my idea but because, as usual, of what you can do with it! You can literally kiss any project with Glitter that doesn't shed or need glue to stick it and leaves no mess, what's not to love?
I thought I would share this project today to whet your appetites! everything on this card is made with glitter kiss even the stamping!
I added the flower from the centre of the sentiment over a messy bow of organza ribbon from my stash wit the lace edged leaves gently kissed with the lavender glitter kiss.
Don't forget Sue Wilson is on Hochanda this afternoon at 3pm with the amazing Nautical range of dies!

I thought I would share this card today as the yellow reminds me of Easter for some reason!
I stamped the corner from my Michaelmas daisy clear stamp set in momento tuxedo black ink 4 times in the corners of a square 5" x 5"bright white foundation card. I coloured the image using the Graphmaster alcohol pens in yellow 44, beige 101 adding brown 99 and warm grey 0.5. I thought this changed the look of the daisies to sunflowers!
I layered this with primrose and Brunswick green adding a panel embossed with the tulip twist 8x8" embossing folder shaded with lemon meringue colour cloud blending ink.
I stamped the circle sentiment with thank you and cut it out using the noble double pierced circles dies. I used the B set to make a mat for this in the green and centred this over a piece of primrose stamped with the sentiment in the centre.
Finally I added a messy bow of satin ribbon ( from my stash) in white and yellow.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Firstly I want to apologise as I got the dies totally wrong yesterday it was the New Zealand collection not Australia!
I premiered this stamp in a card earlier this week all embossed in Brilliant Sparkle embossing powder by Cosmic Shimmer however I wanted to share with you the coloured version as well.

A trip to Noble Australia today for vintage Friday with the Noble Border ( a die form last year that I have to admit I nearly missed it is so useful) and the Melbourne die from the Australian collection.
I stared by cutting the Noble border, without the outline die, into a piece of mocha foundation card cut to 51/4" x 81/4"at posing sides as shown. I backed this with primrose foundation card adding some crystal strips and stick on crystals to highlight the beautiful design of the die.
I next cut the Melbourne die in primrose just using the frame section and backed this with more of the mocha before foam mounting this above the centre of the panel. I added layers of Tan, Primrose and mocha and a panel embossed with the braided vines A4 embossing folder ( a real favourite)
I added the stitched flags with the sentiment and then a couple of spares of flowers made with the string flower and orange blossom leaves dies with crystals in the centre of the flowers. A great men's card with the colours but easily for and age or sex with a colour change.
