Sneak Peak Takeover...

Happy Thursday,

I thought you might like too see a sneak peak of my One Day Special launching on Hochanda for the Creative Expressions takeover weekend starting to borrow night at 8pm.  If you haven't seen the video of Phill, Julia, Lisa and me breaking into the studio then have a look HERE on Hochanda's Facebook page Its hilarious!

This weekend is my chance to share some of my favourite of Sue Wilson dies for Creative Expressions and hopefully show you loads of ways to use them!  I stared with the Strpilets earlier this week and tomorrow night I get to choose and work with the amazing Gemini range of dies along with Frames and tags and my fave flowers and finishing touches.

For todays card I used the Beautiful Gillian along with the Lavish Swirls diagonal.  The Diagonal dies are another of my Un Sung heroes as far as dies go.  I find these so pretty and useful yet never really explored them so this hows and the samples have allowed me to play with these.

I cut the Gillian die in the three main colours, Teal, Black and white and backed then in  alternate colours before cutting the centres.  I then used the Lavish Diagonal to make a strip to thread through the centres.

I made up a spray of the Exquisite Poppies ( this really is my go to flower as you will see with tomorrows card) these I drew through the die to make the black thread lines on the petals.  I arranged these on the top right to add focus to the buckle centre.

This is planned demo so tune in over the weekend to see how this was made in detail!

There seem to have been some problems with my blog pictures for the last few weeks posts Im trying to sort what has happened and will update as soon as I have a solution!

Enjoy...

  4. Unusual card today John but I love it. For some reason I'm having problems with the pictures you've posted this week - hence my lack of posts. It seems to be random and so far only on your blog. Instead of a lovely picture I'm getting a kind of greyed out no entry sign. I've never seen anything like it before so fingers crossed it will resolve itself.
    Have a great day.
    Happy crafting.

  34. Hi John. Nice idea for a card, but I think it is a bit too busy for me, possibly because the "rosettes" are all different colour combinations. Perhaps if they had been identical it may not have been too busy.
