I hope you all liked the hand painted shirt I wore that night I really enjoyed the show, don't forget I am back on Hochanda today at 9am, 12pm, 4pm and last chance at 7pm. ! I thought today I would show you another fabric painted project however this is a card. It great when you can mix your crafts so the idea of using stamps on fabric just makes them more versatile and better value for me!
To make this one I stamped the flowers from the Peony elements clear stamp set onto plain Calico ( bought from Sew Simple at there weekend) using jet black archival ink. I stamped the smaller peony twice and added a couple of extra leaves and the smallest of the flowers. Next I simply coloured them in using the fab new Cosmic Shimmer Fabric paints I used the pink, pearl, the silver and green mixed to make all the shades shown ( sorry I don't know the formal names for these as I just have tester pots!)
I placed this on a larger mat of Kraft card , punched holes at the corners and added some brads form my stash to attach to the card. I then added a thin layer of Baby Pink foundation card around this to match the pink in the paints!
I stamped the sentiment, again from the peony set, onto a scrap of the Kraft card and cut it out with the smaller ribbon threader die form the Spellbinders set I have on the show. Instead of threading the ribbon I added a flag cut piece behind this so it shows through the slots. I added thin border of the pink.
I added a panal of the Kraft card embossed with the rambling roses A4 embossing folder which I shaded with Frosted Mink colour cloud blending ink again with a pink mat.
Finally I made up the card as shown adding more of the ribbon and a few layers of the pink and Kraft card.
I hope you can tune in today for one of the shows.

Don't forget I am on Hochanda this evening at 8pm with the launch of the One Day Special. This launch will be my new Summers Child stamp set along with 5 new clear sets designed with summer in mind. I thought I would start today with the Summer Child set and one of the card I will be demoing this evening.
This set covers the birthdays for June, July & August and, as usual, has all the extras including sentiments that I always try to include. Here is a close up of the full set.
I have added a few other cards that use this set tune in to see more!

I'm still here in sunny Norwich at sew simple today we are doing a workshop of die cutting and Pixie Powders. I thought I would show a card I made just using the Belgian background and Peacock green and midnight blue oasis powders. I love the simplicity of this card and the colours and shine you get from the Pixie Powders!

Well its back to reality today as I am demoing at one of my favourite places Sew Simple in Norwich. I will also be running a series of workshops there on Sunday so pop in and say hi today or see if you can fit in tomorrow ( I belle its fully booked but you never know)
I thought Today I would show you one of the cards I will be demoing using Sue Wilson's fabulous new range of dies as well as the Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Powders and Gilding polishes. This one uses nay absolute favourite the Stitched lattice background form the Shadow Box collection.
I stared by cutting the lattice in black foundation card I then cut the same die in rich red and I extended the pattern by putting the die back into the cut further along ( this is a favourite trick of mine that I always try to demo)
I offset the back trellis over the red and foam mounted this above. I then cut a frame for the trellis using the smallest and largest stitched frames that come with the set and placed this above.
Next I cut a series of the equate poppies in watercolour card and soaked them in water. I then shot Red Lava and midnight pixie powders over thesis to give the varied colours in the petals making the poppies, in my opinion, more realistic. I made up the poppies and added a 3mm black pearl in the centre of each before arranging these with the olive branch die cut in Brunswick green foundation card.
To make the bow I soaked American seam binding in blue white with all the pixie powders that were left on my craft sheet. This ,makes a shaded ribbon that matches as well as helping with clean up!
I made up some smaller poppies and placed these at the opposite corn to frame the lattice.
Finally I stamped the sentiment, from my Tulip elements clear stamp set ( this set is currently on offer on www.juliawattscrafts.co.uk) onto coconut white foundation card. I then used the Belgium collection tags cut in red and black to cut this out and frame the sentiment. I placed this in the centre , with mounting cushion of course) and added a couple more pearls.
A dramatic card but full of loads of techniques which always makes for an interesting demonstration.

Well judging by the comments the holiday quickies went down well thank you so much for understanding the speed I need to post these with! I am now back form Holidays and have been beavering away on my New Stamp samples that I picked up on my return. These will be launched on Monday at 8pm on Hochanda so I thought I would give you all a few sneak peaks before the day! The good news is this collection includes the much awaited Summers Child clear stamp set covering birthdays in June, July and August.
Therefore I thought I would show a bonus and show 2 cards . The first is using the new main element from my Peony Elements clear stamp set the second use the June poem from the Summers child clear stamp set. Both will be available form Monday and are planned demos on the show so hopefully you will get to see the made if you tune in.
The second card is made using a Spellbinders die the Fancy Ribbon Threader set which is on the show at a special offer price.
a few more shots to whet your appetites and more peaks tomorrow. For those who asked I had a brilliant relaxing Holiday with too much food!
