Today's card is a simple stamped affair to show that with a nice background and sentiment a simple uncoloured or lightly coloured image can be really effective and simple. Today's card was made specifically for a friend who was starting a new job and being a guy it is always hard to find the right level of embellishment and die cuts to suit a formal occasion and not be to fancy. I thought the sentiment, one of my Craft show bargains from last Sunday, fit the bill perfectly.
I started by simply inking through a that special touch mask using white chalk ink onto black card, A4 folded in half, to make the card base. Next I stamped the image in grey Flannel Memento ink onto super smooth card stock and added a few lines of grey alcohol marker to give some depth to the image.
Finally I added a corner die cut in black from the Sue Wilson French Collection Borders and Tags set to relive the squareness (if that is even a word!)
